My grandson is enjoying the desk very much. It makes him feel like he's in school. He loves putting his coloring books in the compartment and his other "stuff" in the seat compartment!

We purchased the Write Desk for our 2 year old grandson for his birthday. He loved it. It fills the need for somewhere to sit and color, etc., that is his size. Will probably buy for our granddaughter as well.

I bought this for my daughter for her 3rd birthday! She is always sitting at it. We have it in the living room. We had to drill a hole in the back of it to hook up a chord for the light. The batteries died too fast on the lamp. Her favorite part is the dry erase board on top. She keeps all of her stuff in one place so it is nice for me and her dad :) She even sits and eats snacks at it.

I bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas a year ago. Now almost 4 he still fits in it well. My problem is he rarely uses it. I can't keep the markers and crayons on it because their 1 year old brother climbs on it and pulls everything out and throws it around the floor. I think the baby brother has had more fun playing with it than the child it was intended for. If you like picking up after a younger sibling, it is a great toy! If you don't have that obstacle, I think it is a good purchase. It is very well made and will last a long time. It works well when utilized and he likes having his own desk, the light is a big hit, too.

I wish I could say that this desk serves as a desk for coloring all the time, but more often than not, it's being used as a step stool, climber, and so on. The desk is an all-right, easy-to-clean product with storage for coloring supplies.
Warning: The legs that you install into the base unit remain wobbly. A power drill would make installation ten times easier than the itsy-bitsy Phillips provided. Four of the holes are not predrilled for the red cubby part, so you must use a bit of push behind a screwdriver. The light is not very bright, so you will need a real lamp for dark rooms.
One warning for budget-conscious parents: This desk is small. It will not last until the advertised age of 7. This desk will last a tall toddler until 3.5 (4 would be pushing it), so if you have a tall kid, chances are you will need to upgrade sooner. I believe the right recommended age range for this desk is 1.5-3.5. |
