Little ones can rock out with their very own Baby Grand Piano! This pint-sized piano teaches numbers and colors, as well as exposes them to musical concepts like tempo, pitch and style. Baby is encouraged to play and learn with the eight light-up keys and four activities with four songs led by a dancing character and "magic" music book. Features three modes: Learning, Musical Fun and Imagination. Requires 3 "C" batteries (not included). Measures 19" x 17" x 17". Adult assembly required.

There's nothing like watching small children fall in love with music. This baby grand will play Cupid to a toddler's relationship to music. Just the right size for little fingers, with bright colors, lights, and familiar songs and learning concepts; kids will need no introduction before getting in there and starting to tickle those ivories! Three modes of play encourage children to enjoy music, learn basic concepts (alphabet, counting, opposites, etc.), or just play notes and chords on the eight-key keyboard. A plastic songbook (built into the piano) uses numerals on musical notation to teach aspiring musicians the correlation between the sounds they hear, the notes on the page, and the keys on the keyboard. Slides and buttons and dials can be manipulated to adjust tempo, pitch, and style, while a metronome keeps time. And a friendly maestro monster looms over the piano, dancing as your artiste creates composes her or his opuses. The music, as with so many children's toys, is moderately unpleasant—nursery rhymes meet lounge jazz—but not the worst you'll ever hear. And the joy toddlers will get out of playing their own melodies, as well as the potential for learning, far outweighs the burden of listening to cheesy tunes. Or you can just keep it in note-playing mode, and skip the pre-recorded tunes altogether! Three "C" batteries required (not included). Some adult assembly is required. --Emilie Coulter

Favorite Toy2008-11-154 / 5
This is my daughter's favorite toy. We purchased it when she was 9 months old and she is now 16 months. It was the first toy that held her attention for more than a minute or two. It was also the first toy she could play with standing. Having a background in music myself, I appreciate the extent to which this toy teaches music. My only reservations about this toy are the sturdiness and the price. It has been durable enough for my toddler, but I wish it was another inch or two higher and the legs were slightly more substantial. That said, it has never tipped or fallen on my child. Overall, a great buy, and a must-have if you can find a good price!
Best Educational Toy Piano - 2nd Grade Teacher2008-10-145 / 5
This baby grand piano is awesome! It is just the right size for little fingers and its bright colors and lights will cause your little one to squeal with delight while she learns and listens to the "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" and other songs.
This piano teaches not only the basic learning concepts of the alphabet and counting but introduces your child to the basic concepts of music such as tone, pitch, rhythm, and melody. It also lets your little one play notes and chords on the eight-key keyboard and turn pages on the built in song book.
This has been the best learning toy that I have purchased for my 10 month old and 2 year old. I gave it a 3 star rating for durability as I had to purchase it twice since my first one got thrown around and it got damaged.
As a second grade teacher I completly recommend it to all moms, buy it 5 times if you need to. You will throughly enjoy singing along with your child as she plays and when she "gets it."

Little fingers get pinched!2008-07-203 / 5
I loved this product . . . at first. My son got this product for his fist birthday and love playing with all the different musical activities. As a music person, I was impressed with the toy's teaching of concepts like pitch and tempo; however, on a number of occations my son has grabbed hold of the sun at the top of the music book stand and gotten his fingers/hand pinched. The sun doesn't stop moving and it's hard to release his skin from there when the incident occurs. After several incidents I have notified the manufacturer. They have noted the problem. If this happens to you, please let them know so that future little fingers will be saved!!
Love it, but it does pinch little fingers!2008-06-194 / 5
MY 10-month old loves this toy and plays with it everyday; however, We have the same issue with fingers being pinched. When your child grabs onto the sun's face or hands their fingers get pinched in the openings as the parts move. Keep an eye on this, as it pinches very hard. I placed my hand over the opening myself to feel how hard it pinches and it even hurts an adult's fingers.
