| GREAT TOY! SUPER SHAPE SORTER | 2008-12-30 | 5 / 5 |

I almost didn't buy this because of the review that stated it was hard to get the shapes in. But, I really wanted to have a shape sorter from the Laugh and Learn line, so I tried it.
This toy is great! Has darling songs, and my 1 yr old son has learned to get the shapes in the right spots without any problems, and the shapes go in easy and without any of the problems the other reviewer had.
One of the best features is the cookie jar lid. It helps keep the pieces inside, perfect for easy clean up! This has been one of my sons favorite toys this year!! |

| An update on a classic toy but I'd stick with the classic | 2008-12-05 | 4 / 5 |

| My son got this toy for his 1 year birthday and we started letting him play with it around 15 months. At first he would just open the lid and take the shapes in and out of the jar that way. It was fun for him and fine by us. At around 18 months, he started to make an effort to put the shapes through the right openings. The problem is that the shapes don't fall in easily so he'd ask for help. If I had my choice, I would have gone with a classic wooden version of this toy because the shapes are solid blocks rather than hollow and plastic. The other reason I'd go with the classic version is that the constant singing and music gets really annoying for adults. I often just turn off the music so I don't have to hear it. So overall, my son likes this toy but I would have preferred the classic. |
