The picture does not convey the actual size of the car. I was surprised by its tiny size when I received it. It has a flimsy plastic body; not sturdy as the other one dollar `Tonka' cars you get at the stores but it is of similar size. So, fits well to my son's car collection.
What is not advertised clearly, is a really cool feature. When released after a pull-back on a hard surface, the car goes forward, pauses, and then goes right. Something I don't like is, the car repeats this routine over and over and hardly travels 2-3 feet in a straight line. My 3 yr old son, a LMcQ junkie, does not seem impressed with this.
When I was in the market for a LMcQ, I was looking for a vanilla pull-back car. Even though this car has a unique and cool feature, I would not have bought it if the feature was properly explained in the product description. (The product description says, "LMcQ watches over who is behind..." or some such thing irrelevant.) It is the marketing that made this purchase sour for me.
The price of the product itself is not very unreasonable. But with the S&H added, it is a tad expensive for the quality of construction.
