| Cute story! Our kids (boy 3 and girl 5 years old) love their authentic Matryoshka dolls so this story was a nice compliment to their beloved toy. I particularly liked how the book explained the history of how and where Matryoska dolls are made. I think the kids will develop a better appreciation for the toy after reading the story. |

| As many other reviewers have already said, this is a sweet book. We have been reading this to our daughter (who is now 6) for the past four years. She has actually enjoyed it more as she has gotten older because she anticipates the climax and enjoys the resolution so much more now. She especially loves the illustrations since we bought her a matryoshka (when we were in Russia adopting her) that looks just like her...AND the dolls in this book. She still loves to read this book and asks me to read it aloud whenever parents are invited to come in and read to the class (both in kindergarten and 1st grade). A big hit with our family! |

| A very sweet story about how the dolls are made and sent to America to be sold in a store. One of the sisters (nesting doll/matryoshka) gets separated from the other sisters, and she finds her way back to them. It's about staying together as a family.....yes I am talking about the dolls. A young girl buys them from the store and in the end they live happily in her room, where they are loved by the little girl. |

| I ordered this book to go with a set of Matryoshka nesting dolls I had bought for my Granddaughter. She would sit and play with my nesting dolls when she would visit in the summer, and she enjoys playing with her Mom's dolls which were given to her when her Father, my son proposed to her Mom! So, this was an ideal Christmas gift since the story is about "family". And the illustrations were absolutely beautiful. A wonderful book. |
