| Bought these paints for our 5 yr old granddaughter. She lives and breathes drawing so we thought we would give her another medium to work with. The paints are a good consistency for tempra and the colors are bright. It is nice for her to have a range of colors. She quickly moved past the three color stage and blending colors. I only gave this a 4 star for fun because it is understandably messy thought the containers help. Had to get a drop cloth and apron. Some clothes I could not get the stains out of sleeves or pants. I would recommend getting medium or small brushes for children who have more developed fine motor skills. She gets frustrated with the large brushes (bought separately) because the paint lines are so thick. |

| Most kits like this have 2 oz. jars of paint. These jars are 16 ozs. and worth $40.00 for just the paint. But you also get the brushes and cups, one brush for each color, so you don't have the paint mixing on one brush, problem. As much. Also, this paint is thick enough to add water and still get a good color. And you can wash it out. Just don't eat it. |
