pros:
good price, $9.99($4.99, it was on sale with my card) at the local stop and shop.
shoots clear across the apartment, which is 30+ feet.
easy reload.
decent sized pistol grip, good for people young and old.
cons:
can take fiddling to eject the 6 shot barrel to the reload position.
occasionally can produce under powered discharge, causing darts to fall short.
notes:
when reloading, you'll wanna press the barrel release(black button on left side of toy) firmly, sometimes cycling the toy one trigger pull is needed.
make sure to load darts into toy in so the dart tips are flush with each barrel.
the toy can once in a while produce a relatively easy to clear jam(reach into muzzle and pull dart out).
I've noted that while not listed or recommended, you can fit the clip system darts sold with the recon or longshot, and get a distance boost of about 2-3 feet, when using the clip system or sonic darts, if firing at less than 10 feet, these can and will sting a bit.
a word of warning for those with pets(namely cats), go out and buy reloads fast, your pet(cats namely) will chase the darts, and you'll find yourself loosing them as your pet will likely hide them on you, if not play with the dart to the point of no longer being usable with the toy. |

I bought these darts as a refill pack for my Maverick. After using them, I found them to be a lot more accurate than the suction darts and they shoot farther, too. Because of that, they actually hurt a little if you shoot close range and are wearing light clothing - not enough to leave a bruise but you definitely know you've been hit. The light whistle they produce is neat, but the overall performance is what sells me. I totally recommend them over the suction darts that comes with the Maverick and the Firefly for daytime, outdoor Nerf wars.
As a side note: Don't try using sonic darts or suction darts in the Nerf Longshot CS-6 or the Recon CS-6. The wider dart tips tend to jam in the barrel. |

These were given as a gift. From all accounts they love 'em. It seems to get the "sound" they're using them outside since indoors doesn't allow the long shoots needed for the sound to manifest itself.
The "giftee" is going to purchase more for his youngins and others. Good enough for me... |

| Like others have said, this is the best dart for taking out co-workers. The suction ones can be fun when you get them to stick to the face, but overall the whistlers fly faster and more accurately, plus they still freak people out when they miss. |

| Santa put these in some stockings this past Christmas and well, he certainly has the "in" on cool stuff! These things are so much fun and have been thoroughly enjoyed in this house. Scares the cat to bits to hear these things soar through the air, but other than that, they're just awesome. Can't say enough good about them really. Just a neat item and a whole bunch of fun. Durable too - haven't lost one yet in four months because of structure. Can't really say that about all Nerf darts. Highly recommend! |
