Features
The nooks, crannies, and special features of this product enhance the imagination and keep active children busy. The action figures have moveable arms and legs that are easy to manipulate by little fingers. In addition, the knight's shields and swords stay in place so that the small pieces won't become lost. As the youngster grows, parents can add onto this playset with accessories and other figures, sold separately. Two Happy Boys2008-09-035 / 5
I have two boys who enjoy this castle. My youngest got it around age two and a half as a present for doing a job well. I think he was a bit too young for it at the time but his four year old brother loves it too. We've had it for about a year now and my youngest is three and a half now. He has grown into the toy and enjoys it now. Both boys play with it regularly and my older boy is almost five now. It's durable and well worth the money.
Hours of Fun!2008-08-175 / 5
My three year old son LOVES playing with this castle. He uses all sorts of figurines with it--dinosaurs, superheroes, soldiers, etc... It's a great way to nuture imaginative and pretend play. It's very durable, with lots of nooks and crannies for him to explore. He's had this toy for over three months, and still plays with it constantly. Great toy!
Love this preschooler-friendly castle!2008-05-145 / 5
My 2.5 y/o boy loves all things knights, so I searched for a long time to find a play castle he'd like. I really liked the Playmobil products, but there were waaaaaaay too many tiny pieces that he couldn't manipulate and of course there's always the risk of a choking hazard. I liked the wooden castles but was leary of their durability and they just seemed so plain.

After reading many reviews I chose this castle and am so glad we did! It's very sturdy and has provided hours of fun for my child. I like that it encourages open play and doesn't require batteries or make annoying sounds. The knights aren't "scary", but they're more advanced looking than the happy Little People which IMO doesn't have the same creative play potential because it has fewer play options, i.e. no cannon, flags, secret passages, etc.

It folds up nice and neat and you can toss all the pieces inside if you want--minimal mess, which is great for a toy w/ the potential for a lot of small parts.

On that note, I got this for an older toddler that I knew was past the mouthing stage. There are several small pieces--helmets, swords, flags, the cannon ammo--that would worry me if he was still putting things in his mouth.

That said, I'd def recommend this product for older toddlers and up!

Promotes Creativity and Imagination2008-03-055 / 5
Pros:
-My kids love these. It really encourage their creativity. Their other sets include castles, knights, giants, dragons, wizards, pirates, etc. -Interactive - with cannons and bows/arrows that shoot projectiles, trap doors, audio and visual effects.
-Durable
-A great alternative to Legos.

Cons:
-Price had gone up so much
-This is for older kids. A 4-year old will have a real hard time to snap them together and may feel frustrated.
-One set is not enough. You may really need to expand to do more.
